In her photo project „ A Girl and Her Room”, the photographer Rania Matar devotes her attention to young women, showing them in their everyday, entirely private environment. Teenagers from various strata of society and different ethnic backgrounds let us take a look at their own personal space. Strikingly, each girl seems to have designed her room in exact harmony with her personality. They have created an environment where they feel comfortable, an environment that suits them and is an expression of their individuality.
Rania Matar : These young women have given me a unique insight into their trust. The beauty and strength, the wishes and dreams of these young women from totally different worlds moved me deeply. My photographs are like an invisible mirror that reflects all the facets of their personality,
