Sergey Melnitchenko has worked as a photographer since 2009. He is a curator and the founder of the MYPH photography school and collective. Over the past decade, he participated in more than one hundred solo and group exhibitions around the world. Sergey is a winner of the 2017 Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award.
Sergey is in Warsaw for four days for the opening of „Young and Free” and will lead the workshop and portfolio review at Leica 6×7 Gallery on 15th of February. So, grab the chance and learn from one of the most interesting photographers in Eastern Europe!
During the one-day workshop Sergey will analyse contemporary photography, discuss the idea of the photo book as an artistic object, share his knowledge on self-management, self promotion, negotiating and communicating with galleries, editors, and collectors, and finally – the strategies to employ in order to become a successful photographer selling prints for thousands of euros.
The workshop will take place 15th of February, 10:00-18:00 and will be led in English.
